Spring Is Here! Get into the Trenches!

This season makes me think about the up and down weather we have had and all the rain. Ive been cleaning out closets as I wait for another upcoming fashion shoot that will be focused on much more warm weather. But for today, I have been listing a lot of coats before they go off to seasonal storage.

One trend I never really saw come to full fruition in the US (or should I say NY, because I think we’re the only ones daring enough to explore this) is the inside out trench coat. What started with only Burberry coats in Japan and Asia, become just any great interior, or zip out lining of interest…specifically in a cool plaid.

When I started to see the trend, I was excited about experimenting with it and set out on my thrifting way to find a great trench. I love seeing the inner details including the finishing trim on panels, quilting, zippers and interesting pockets.

And so, I’ll be listing some potential for this, as well as plenty of traditional and non traditional trenches for the rain we’ve been having or beyond since trench has really become a widely appreciated layering piece for any season.

What do you think about this trend? How do you wear your trench?
